I’m proud to be the first to welcome you to “The Labor Citizen.”

Whether you previously received “The Cleveland Citizen” or “The Ohio Labor Citizen” you are now a subscriber to our new combined publication, “The Labor Citizen.” For a few others, this is totally new.

After sporadic discussions the past two years, the Executive Board of The Cleveland Building and Construction Trades Council voted to merge our two publications into one monthly, full-color tabloid.
Just by holding and looking at Volume I, Issue 1, I hope you can tell we’ve taken numerous steps to improve the product. I think it is easier to read and more vibrant. In time, I hope you also find the content and advertisements to be of greater value.

Despite the added color and content, the primary mission for “The Labor Citizen” remains the same as it has been for the past 123 years: To provide critical information to members about your specific union, as well as big picture news and information that impacts all of us.

I want to stress that this is your publication. We are relying on all of you to help us make it the best it can be. We need you to share information with your business managers to be printed each month. Please share your photos with us. Provide feedback on what you would like to see in future editions of “The Labor Citizen.” You’ll find all of the contact information for the group producing our publication on Page 5.

On the “Labor Citizen” website you can find digital archives of each Labor Citizen edition, additional content like photo galleries and additional information or documents related to the stories you see in print.

You will see the occasional update on matters of extreme importance to us all. Thanks, remember to work safe, and again, welcome to “The Labor Citizen.”

Fraternally,
David J. Wondolowski
Chairman, “The Labor Citizen”
